Busiest summer ever for Columbus Regional Airport Authority

COLUMBUS, Ohio — John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) and Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK) had record-breaking summer travel seasons with 2.58 million passengers – Columbus Regional Airport Authority’s (CRAA’s) busiest summer ever!
“Our summer numbers are a testament to the trust our passengers place in us and the hard work of our dedicated team,” said CRAA President & CEO Joseph R. Nardone. “We’re committed to providing seamless travel while preparing to break ground on our new terminal at John Glenn International to meet growing demand and enhance the customer journey.”
June and July were the two busiest months in CRAA history, while August was the busiest August ever. Combined the summer travel season surpassed last year’s by 8%. CMH and LCK saw an average of 134 departures a day.
This summer’s success builds upon a remarkable year as monthly passenger records have been broken in seven of the first eight months.
