Aim’s Founder Named a Most Loved CEO | Aim Transportation Solutions
November 19th, 2024
GIRARD, OH – November 18, 2024 – Tom Fleming, founder, chairman and CEO of Aim Transportation Solutions, a national leader in commercial fleet services with a location in Columbus, OH, has been named to the 2024 Top Most Loved CEOs list. This extraordinary accolade highlights Tom Fleming’s decades-long commitment to developing a work culture where everyone is valued, supported and inspired to excel.
The Most Loved CEO list celebrates exceptional companies worldwide that have rated their CEOs highest on the Love of Workplace Index®, a sophisticated system that surveys employees on various elements concerning employee satisfaction and sentiment, including the level of respect, support and sense of belonging they feel inside the company.
Tom Fleming’s journey to the Top Most Loved CEOs list started earlier this year when Aim was named a Most Loved Workplace® for the second year in a row. Based on employee responses and feedback, the Most Loved Workplace® certification is founded on rigorous criteria, including employee satisfaction, collaboration and overall workplace culture.
In that same survey that certified Aim as a Most Loved Workplace®, respondents were asked to rate their CEO, and the Aim employees sounded off, giving Tom Fleming a resounding five out of five stars, making him a Most Loved CEO.
“I am truly honored and humbled to be named a Most Loved CEO, particularly because it comes from the responses of my fellow Aim employees,” said Tom Fleming. “I’m incredibly grateful to lead such an incredible organization of professionals who go out of their way to make Aim one of the most trusted and respected brands in the commercial transportation industry.”
“This recognition isn’t mine alone,” Tom Fleming continued. “My son, Scott [Fleming] and our entire leadership team work incredibly hard to make sure our employees are taken care of and have ample opportunities for growth and success. This is what helps us attract and retaining the best in the business, and ultimately what makes Aim deserving of being named a Most Loved Workplace®.”
The beating heart of Aim’s award-winning company culture is its more than 100-year family history within the commercial transportation industry, which began in 1904 with Tom Fleming’s -grandfather, J.V. McNicholas. Since then, the family-owned and -operated company has relied on upstanding family values in the way it takes care of its customers, communities and, of course, its employees.
When Tom Fleming purchased the leasing division of the family company in 1982, it had 25 trucks and just a handful of employees. Since then, his stop-at-nothing attitude toward customer service excellence and his employee-focused vision has led Aim to becoming a nationwide success with 1,000 employees and 11,000 commercial vehicles across more than 100 locations and operations.
The Aim family legacy continues as Tom Fleming runs the company alongside his son, Scott Fleming, President of Aim. Under their leadership, Aim has continued to thrive as a best-in-class commercial transportation solutions provider and, of course, an employer. Together, they continue
to focus on employee well-being, career development and fostering a collaborative, inclusive workplace.
While being named a Most Loved Workplace® twice in a row, Aim also ranked among Newsweek’s 2024 Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces®, the second consecutive year Aim has earned this distinction.
On top of an award-winning, supportive culture, Aim provides its employees with exceptional benefits (including a generous 401(k) matching program), paid holidays, vacation time and a great work-life balance. On top of that, Aim actively engages its employees through various events, training and education sessions and community activities.
Aim Transportation Solutions’ diverse, inclusive, family culture is a place for anyone and everyone to grow and succeed. A testament to this is the fact that many of Aim’s leaders began in entry-level positions, rising to their prominent roles because their hard work and determination was matched by Aim’s continuous support and opportunities.
“At Aim, we prioritize our people because when they succeed, our customers succeed, and, at the end of the day, that means Aim succeeds,” Tom Fleming concluded. “For anyone who’s looking for a supportive, inclusive company where anyone can succeed, there’s a spot for you on our team.”
