The Employer’s Role in Preventing & Responding to the

Harmful Use of Opioids & Other Drugs

In Partnership with the Ohio Chamber of Commerce

Ohio has been hit harder by the opiate epidemic than almost any state in the nation, and employers are increasingly feeling the impact of this sweeping problem in their workforce. The misuse of prescription pain medication and abuse of other opioids poses a threat to safety and operations and can leave employers at risk of liability, as well as confused and apprehensive about how to best protect their bottom lines and well-being of their employees.

Join the Columbus Chamber in partnership with the Ohio Chamber on July 24 for a seminar addressing Employer’s Role in Preventing & Responding to the Harmful Use of Opioids & Other Drugs. Trained professionals from Working Partners will help to raise awareness of operational impact of harmful drugs on the workplace and the workforce, and review best practices for addressing risks associated with these trends.

You will also hear from local leaders on how substance abuse has impacted our region, steps that are being taking to address the issue, and resources employers can deploy to be part of the solution.
