RMX Freight Systems, Inc. (formerly Roseville Motor Express) recently celebrated the one hundredth anniversary of operations. RMX is a family-owned trucking company that provides next day LTL service in Ohio and bordering points in Kentucky, Michigan and West Virginia.

Originally founded in Roseville, Ohio in 1917 to operate as a regular route carrier, RMX served a thriving pottery industry located in the Crooksville – Roseville area. RMX ran a regular route with scheduled stops between McLuney and Zanesville, Ohio via State Route 93. Once empty in Zanesville, the truck would make various pick-ups for delivery along the route back to Roseville. These deliveries varied from kegs of nails for the local hardware, to groceries for the market, to pharmaceuticals for the drug store. This service was vital to these communities. It was slow going for the old truck with solid rubber tires, usually taking all day to make the forty mile round trip.

From these humble beginnings 100 years ago, RMX has built a business that has evolved and modernized to reflect the changing dynamics of the transportation industry. The company has now grown to over 50 power units and 100 trailers in lengths from 28 to 53 feet.
