Under legislation sponsored by Columbus City Council Member Priscilla R. Tyson, the City contracted with the Columbus Chamber to conduct a survey to better understand the needs of small businesses (1 to 50 employees) in Columbus as it concerns:
- Workforce quality, recruitment, retention, and training
- Overall business environment
- City services relevant to businesses, including economic development programs as well as regulatory issues that affect business (e.g. permits)

The Chamber’s Research Director Jung Kim authored this report.
