At GPK Indoor Entertainment we offer adrenaline-packed experiences for individuals and groups that include Fast Indoor Kart Racing, Next-Gen Tactical Laser Tag, High-Tech Escape Rooms, and a KIDZone for ages 4-7.
Tell us about your company’s mission and values.
We are dedicated to providing fun and safe family entertainment that brings people together to participate and compete at the highest levels. We take what is now a digital experience of video games and puzzles, and have turned them into a real-world experience that is accessible to everyone.
What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?
Working with the Columbus Chamber we are excited to see how the markets are changing in our industry and others. This allows GPK to better understand what public and private groups are looking for — from families spending time together to companies that are looking to develop team building or to reward their employees for a job well done. The Columbus Chamber of Commerce has been resource for find new clients and developing relationships with other business owners.
How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?
The digital landscape has changed everything — from how we shop to how we plan our next adventure. We are leveraging GPK’s website and other citation site analytics, and a host of other digital tools, to better position our brand. This allows GPK to better understand how to use our marketing dollars, when to invest in additional operational hours, with the goal of bringing the most competitive pricing to the market.
What is your company culture like?
At GPK our employees and management team have collaborated on new attractions, as well as set designs and gameplay for our attractions. This has brought everyone closer together and created a sense of investment for the whole team; not just in the hours they work, but the brand they have built! And we listen. All of our employees have made contributions to each of our attractions’ experiences, from racing leagues, to new laser tag missions, everyone working at GPK has had an impact on our products.
What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?
At GPK we are constantly in the process of training our staff on attractions. Not just to provide a fun experience for the guest, but so they can participate in the fun our guests are having. And, having fun is just part of the job at GPK; so success is linked to the ability to enjoy your job, and when you do then the customers, the employees, and the company win.
What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?
Columbus has become a year-round destination in Ohio. When you are in the business of entertainment, you rely on out-of-town visitors to help drive the bottom line. And, when they’re so many amazing sports activities, festivals, conventions, colleges, and a vibrant art scene, it creates a constant flow of new prospects to the city to share our the excitement of our brand and what we offer – Speed, Adventure and Family Fun at GPK.
