Feeney of Safelite AutoGlass to deliver keynote on leading investment in innovation and technology
Columbus, OH, Dec. 13, 2017 — Will Columbus-area businesses proactively transform in the coming year, or be transformed by the events of 2018?
TRANSFORM, the 2018 Annual Meeting of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, will feature some of the innovators and entrepreneurs helping to answer those questions and fuel the region’s continued growth. More than 1,400 of Central Ohio’s business leaders are expected during the festivities, set for Thursday, Feb. 8 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
Tom Feeney, president and CEO of Safelite AutoGlass, will deliver the program’s keynote remarks. In 2017, Feeney spearheaded investments of more than $41 million in technology at the company through its Safelite Works innovation hub—investments meant to reach far beyond auto glass.
“We’re building a culture conducive to innovation,” said Feeney. “We’re doing amazing work in our home office and the innovation lab that will shape the future of our employee, customer, and client experiences.”
The program’s highlights also include remarks from Jim Kunk, retired Central Ohio President of Huntington Bank and 2018 Columbus Award honoree; announcement of the 2017 Small Business Leader Award recipient; and an interactive networking showcase to kick off the morning.
“Our Columbus Region community is set for big things in 2018,” said Columbus Chamber President and CEO, Don DePerro. “As the voice of area businesses and other stakeholders, the Columbus Chamber is thrilled to play a part in that continued transformation and prosperity.”
The Annual Meeting is open to the public and Chamber membership is not required.
