Tell us about your company’s mission and values.
We pride ourselves in helping our clients grow their business through customized software solutions. Whether that’s streamlining an internal business process to increase productivity or creating a customer-facing application to interact with their customers, our goal is to create sustainable customer value with our performance and best practice methods.
What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?
We joined the Columbus Chamber to help promote government relations, improve our talent and workforce, increase our brand recognition, and to continue networking with other great businesses in the Columbus area. We want to continue to be an active participant in the business community that we love and support.
How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?
In an era of continuous technological disruption, our software company has to always stay ahead of the curve. In fact, it’s essential to the survival of any business. For any business to have continuous, sustainable growth, they must be able to modify and streamline their business process. We stay ahead of that for our clients by attending industry events and keeping R&D a core pillar of our company focus.
What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?
Just as software is continually developing and transforming the modern world, our employees must also be able to continuously adapt and improve software to keep up with the industry. We’re a very experienced and agile team capable of adapting to changes at any moment. We’re also a relatively young company in Columbus, and our employees are extremely hard-working, very dependable, and very team oriented. To be successful, an employee must be able to quickly pivot and maintain that positive attitude that will give our clients the best possible experience.
What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?
Columbus is a great city to live and do business in. Even with being the capital of Ohio, the city has a small community feel to it and that’s important when doing business.
Columbus has been another developing tech hub in the United States and continues to grow every year. The city has tremendous opportunity and we want to contribute and be on the forefront of its constant growth.
What pieces of advice have you found to be the most helpful since starting your career?
“Take your work seriously, not yourself.”
Taking yourself too seriously in the workforce can lead to you not being open to advice, differing perspectives, or opposing perspectives. In this fast and ever-changing world, you have to be willing to listen to others and learn from everyone around you. You don’t have all the answers, but if you can surround yourself with a positive and hard working team, you’ll be able to solve any business problem that comes your way.
How do you achieve a work/life balance?
Get out, travel, and try new experiences, but it’s important for you mind to present in whichever setting you’re in. If you’re at work, be present at work. If you’re at home, be present at home. Your interactions and productivity are much higher if you can focus your time and energy in that setting.
Where is your favorite place to have a meeting outside the office?
We tend to hop around to different local spots in downtown Columbus, whether that’s somewhere along the Scioto River or over in Arena District. Sometimes it ends up being a trip to Pins Mechanical Company!
