What: Panera Bread will present a $15,000 check to partner Nationwide Children’s Hospital as part of the reception and formal ribbon cutting ceremony of the newly opened Easton Square Panera Bread. The funds are a result of the company’s September fundraising efforts, including a promotion during the store’s Grand Opening.

Details:In celebration of its new Easton Panera Bread location, Covelli Enterprises, the largest franchisee of Panera Bread, will present a check for $15,000to Nationwide Children’s Hospital at its formal ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, October 8 at 9:00 a.m. The funds are a result of the company’s Change Roll-up fundraising program during the month of September within in Columbus area cafes in addition to fundraising during the Grand Opening of the Easton cafe. Panera food and beverages along with takeaways will be provided to all guests and media in attendance. Reception begins at 8:00 a.m.
The donation will benefit Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s On Our Sleevescampaignto support Behavioral Health Research and Care and will be used by the hospital for the areas of greatest need including, but not limited to, staffing, research, and programs for patients at the new state-of-the-art behavioral health facility set to open in 2020. The goal of Panera’s Change Roll-up campaign is two-fold: to raise funds to support Nationwide Children’s pioneering work and to help garner much needed awareness for the pediatric mental health cause.
The new Panera locationis the 2nd Panera in Central Ohio to open with the latest store model with updated, modern design and is equipped with a convenient drive-thru, kiosk ordering, delivery, and rapid pick-up. It officially opened on Tuesday, September 24, and the Grand Opening included several days of special offers and giveaways including $5 gift cards with any You Pick Two or NEW Grain Bowl purchase. For every $5 gift card redeemed within the café’s first two weeks, Panera donated $1 to On Our Sleeves.
In attendance at the Ribbon Cutting and formal check presentation Tuesday will be representatives from Panera Bread, Nationwide Children’s Hospital Foundation, and the Columbus Chamber. Local officials and chamber members will also be present.
