Tell us about your company’s mission and values.

Our mission at Hart is to proudly craft real work, with real purpose, to make measured impact in the lives of the clients, consumers and communities we touch. We do this by staying true to our core values:

  • Craftsmanship
  • Can-do attitude, approaching every challenge, timeline and budget with the expectation that theyare acheiveable.
  • Ingenuity, having the courage to break free from the expected and explore new ways to deliver bigger results.
  • Integrity, offering forthright advice and transparency in our work, while giving back to the communities that have supported our growth.
  • Involvement, leveraging the diverse perspectives of our team members and inviting the participation of our clients and consumers in our process.

Essentially, this philosophy enables us to provide exceptional value to our clients – what we call “Well Built. Well Delivered.” It’s Hart’s promise to produce strategies and creative content driven by data, crafted into seamless, results-oriented campaigns, surrounded customer experience marked by ease, expediency and single-source accountability.

What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?

We look forward to developing and deepening relationships with other members and participating in the many networking opportunities that are available through the Columbus Chamber – to grow as a business, a partner and a leader in the community.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?

At Hart, we live out the mantra “Every Day, Greater.” This mindset is engrained in our people so that we are always looking for ways to improve, new ideas and greater solutions, and always evolving in an informed way that helps our clients solve their latest and greatest marketing challenges. We stay engaged by attending industry events, subscribing to first-in-class research and learning from our clients each day to carry our business forward with momentum.

What is your company culture like?

Hart is family owned and 100% independent. Having grown up surrounded by people who built things and took them apart to understand how they worked together, that mindset was passed down to all of us and is part of the fabric of our company. We take pride in our distinctly Midwestern values. They make us better partners and better marketers. Visit us and you won’t see obligatory ping-pong tables, awards displayed at every opportunity or 20-person meetings. Instead, you will simply find a team of dedicated, down-to-earth but exceptional marketers, sleeves rolled up and together creating work that means business.

What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?

Successful employees carry out Hart’s brand values in their everyday work. They invite collaboration into their daily practice as confident marketing experts, continuously pushing themselves to provide a product that is “Well Built. Well Delivered.”

What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?

Columbus is a great city for doing business, living and raising a family. It’s filled with best-in-class businesses, talent and an

incredibly vibrant educational landscape. Columbus is innovative, growing and founded on Midwest values, just as Hart is. Centrally located, it’s an accessible location for our clients, as well. We are thrilled to be part of the community!

What pieces of advice have you found to be the most helpful since starting your career?

My dad, after retiring from the military, worked for the same company for 30 years. He told me it was my responsibility to find meaning in my work, not my employer’s. He also told me to always be humble, say Thank You (and mean it) and never stop learning.

How do you achieve a work/life balance?

Sunday is my day of rest; I put my phone away, I don’t look at email and I enjoy every minute with my family.

Where is your favorite place to have a meeting outside the office?

Luck Bros. Coffee. It’s walkable from our Grandview office, quiet and the pour-over coffee is exceptional.
