The Columbus Chamber of Commerce unveils new professional development and business leadership series
The Columbus Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce Elevate CBUS, a six-part series aimed towards companies of all sizes, whose leadership has identified associates who are excellent candidates for advancement.
“We saw a clear void across our community, especially with small and mid-size businesses, for a training and development series specifically for retaining top talent within businesses and investing in an employee’s future with their company,” explained Don DePerro, president and CEO of the Columbus Chamber.
“We know that over the next decade, thousands of business owners and C-suite executives will be flooding out of the marketplace, which will create a shortage of leadership talent that could reach crisis levels, and our Columbus Chamber has developed a program to address that.”
Elevate CBUS will consist of six independent training sessions, each lasting at least three hours. Sessions will be led by a seasoned professional with guest appearances from highly respected Columbus Region leaders. Each session is thoughtfully crafted to address specific leadership skills like relationship building and process management.
“We spent countless hours meeting with business owners and leaders in developing Elevate CBUS,” DePerro said. “This is a thorough yet reasonably priced professional development series with the focus on soft business skills that Columbus truly needs.”
Elevate Cbus is open exclusively to Columbus Chamber members and the series will cost $750. Sessions will be limited to around 40 candidates and a second series is planned to launch shortly before the first session is completed.
