Safex Moves Up the Ranks in Women-Owned Businesses List

Columbus Business First names Safex as city’s 39th largest woman-owned business

WESTERVILLE, Ohio (August 28, 2019) — Safex, a respected leader in the industrial hygiene and occupational health and safety industry, jumped five spots from 2018 to 2019 on the Columbus Business First list of top women-owned businesses in Central Ohio.

Columbus Business First created the list, which ranks women-owned businesses by revenue. To qualify,  businesses also must have Central Ohio headquarters, and 51 percent or more of the company must be woman-owned.

According to Columbus Business First, Safex is now the 39th largest woman-owned business in Central Ohio, based on 2018 revenue.

“It’s an honor to be included on this list with other admired businesses and leaders,” said Dianne Grote Adams, president and CEO of Safex.

More than half of Safex’s team of 23 are women, and the company employs 16 full-time and six part-time employees.

“I started the company as a working mother with young kids and wanted Safex to be a place where all employees could meet their personal and professional goals,” Grote Adams said. “We’ve been able to accomplish this while serving our clients over the past 27 years.”

Safex regularly lands on the list of Largest Women-Owned Businesses. In addition, in 2019, Safex was also included on theColumbus Business First lists of the Largest Central Ohio Privately Held Companies and Largest Central Ohio Family-Owned Businesses.
