Provide us with a brief summary of your business’ services.
Muskingum provides educational services and degrees at the Graduate and Undergraduate level in a number of fields of study. In the leadership legacy of John Glenn, our most famous graduate, students learn the 21st century skills hehad before we defined them. The blend of developing critical thinking with creativity and amazing communications skills, our graduates excel at work and life.
Muskingum educates the whole person for the whole world. You have the opportunity to develop yourself to your fullest potential – intellectually, spiritually, socially, and physically.
What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?
Access to associates in business and technology organizations mostly that would benefit from our Masters of Information Strategy, Systems and Technology (MISST) and Muskingum’s Adult Programs (MAP). Both programs are online for busy working adults. We also offer nursing and health professions degrees, education, and the traditional undergraduate liberal arts experience.
How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?
Our faculty keep up on the latest trends and our alumni provide opportunities to engage in the current workplaces.
Our organization culture is about asking questions and finding answers. The big question this year is “Are you made for impact?”
What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?
Employees who are successful at Muskingum ask questions and look for the answers. They use a problem solving approach that results in the development of 21st Century Skills that will stay with them into the future.
What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?
It is a larger market than our current region and has the technology organizations that are developing SMART Columbus.

How do you achieve a work/life balance?
Personally, integrating work and life together to make sure that I contribute to my community through my work and home. I am a developer of minds – I plant seeds and love to watch people grow!
Where is your favorite place to have a meeting outside the office?
I enjoy having meetings at Scott’s in New Concord. He is a local chef that started his own café business and serves fantastic food. I hope to find a similar place in Columbus.
