Relocation for Music GO Round store in Columbus, Ohio

Columbus, Ohio (July 2019)— When it comes to buying, selling or trading used musical instruments, Music Go Round on Bethel Road has been leading the pack for 23 years.  We have been operating out of the same front door at 833 Bethel Road in the Olentangy Plaza. Back then, the NEW Micro Center had been open a couple of months and we were sharing the parking lot with Big Bear and K-Mart, to mention a few.  In order to better serve our customers, and frankly, our Great Staff, we are doubling our space from 5400 to over 10,000 square feet and relocating to 2630 Bethel Road in the Carriage Place Shopping Center. The corner of Bethel and Sawmill roads is about equidistant from route 270 on the north and route 315 on the east.  “We are excited to share this center with the likes of Walmart, Half Price Books, Petland, and Cinemark Movies”, Kevin Johnson said of the pending move.

Music Go Round Columbus opened in August 1996 in a 2800 square foot space and had a hard time filling it back then.  Over the years, we have expanded on both sides and at 5400 total square feet today, have had to “go vertical” just to house all the great used gear we have for sale. Our Franchisor has kept our website, www.Musicgoround.com, up to standard, but our “Brick and Mortar” has been falling behind.  “We are excited to bring our store into the 21stcentury of retail and better serve everyone.” Said Kevin Johnson.

Kevin went on to say: “The New location is designed for today’s shopper, with a dedicated “Buy Station” in the rear where multiple customers can sell us their used instruments. There will be two strategically located checkouts, too.  Our backroom will feature a photo booth and shipping/receiving area.  No longer will the front of our store be clogged up with incoming new accessories and stacks of used instruments to be cleaned and tested! Our departments will now have great walkability and shop-ability utilizing a combination of warehouse style fixtures and eye level lighted displays for microphones and guitar pedals. We are also going LED and adding a full store humidification system that will better protect the quality used instruments we are seeing come in today.”
