We aim to make ecommerce easier for everyone, from merchants to content editors and from marketers to shoppers. We value expertise, celebrating wins, contributing value wherever and whenever possible.
What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?
At Foster Commerce we appreciate the opportunity to network and connect with other businesses in the Columbus area. We’re a remote team, so the world truly is our oyster, but connecting locally is so much more rewarding. Let’s be honest, gaining brand awareness within the Columbus Chamber community is a huge goal of ours.
How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?
Every industry has those few voices that are priceless sources of curated content. We follow some of those voices in both the ecommerce business and web technology industries. The result is that our custom sites are informed by solid ecommerce strategy and backed by the most modern and secure technology.
What is your company culture like?
Foster Commerce is a fully remote and internationally dispersed team, so we don’t have a foosball table (and we don’t use Slack either). Instead, we have a lot of distraction-free time to work that affords us greater ability to dive deep, think clearly and produce more efficiently. Our calm, patient, and talent-focused culture makes happy staff who love what they do, which is building smart ecommerce websites.
To be a successful employee, you must be a self-directed web technology expert with good written communication skills, patience and a passion for building strong partnerships with clients. That’s about it.
What made Columbus the market you chose to tap into?
While we serve clients from around the world, it’s clear that Columbus is full of smart brands and entrepreneurs. The ones who sell products or services online aren’t always aware of solutions beyond the big box ecommerce platforms. What we offer can fill the need for those businesses and being local we’d love to help them get their ecommerce technology right. At Foster Commerce, we are looking forward to gaining visibility in the ecommerce space here because we know we fill a valuable gap many businesses looking to sell online currently have.
