Professionally Humble: We care about getting it right for our clients ahead of being right.
Innately Collaborative: Collaboration is a natural and necessary part of how we lead. We seek input from the best and brightest.

360 Degree Thinking: We take a “balcony view” of the organization, including both internal and external operating environments thereby developing comprehensive and enduring solutions.

Intellectually Versatile: We have interests, expertise, and curiosity beyond what we do for a living that refreshes us and provides us different perspectives for innovation.
Highly Authentic and Reflective: We focus on actual behaviors and transparency over appearances. Reflection allows us to continue to grow and develop.

Unwavering Commitment to Right Action: We are unstoppable and unflappable when on a mission.
Able to Inspire Followership: We inspire the trust and respect of people at all levels of the organization because of who we are and how we work.

What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?
Those that help us increase our visibility and engagement with the Columbus Chamber community, like this spotlight, company introductions, participation in Chamber events, and joint leadership development programs with the Chamber.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?
We are deeply engaged with global leadership experts, in academia and various other associations. We regularly research, write and publish award-winning books, workbooks (the Innovative Leadership Fieldbook series), articles (for Forbes) and blogs. And we conduct weekly radio interviews with successful executives, thought leaders, academics and topic experts from around the globe for our weekly VoiceAmerica podcasts “Innovative Leaders Driving Thriving Organizations.” These regular conversations give us information we share with our clients and they help us refine our thinking. We are growing along with our clients. We model learning and development for you.

What do you think differentiates you from your competitors?
We focus on innovating leadership, as opposed to management or supervision, so our clients are generally current or aspiring C-level executive leaders. Many people teach traditional leadership, we help our clients understand what the leader of the future looks like and build the capacity to continually grow and evolve to meet the evolutionary change they are experiencing (or will experience) in their organizations. Our approach and content continues to evolve so you have the latest thinking at your finger tips!

Our backgrounds include Accenture and PwC consulting firm experience, Masters level teaching in universities in the U.S. and E.U., decades of executive level leadership development and coaching, as well as deep C-level leadership experience (CEO, COO, CFO, CIO) in industry (technology, manufacturing, and consulting companies).

Why do you think Columbus is a great place to do business?
Columbus is forward-thinking and has so many great businesses leading their industries, growing and/or starting up. But the pace of change is torrential and accelerating every day. The pace necessitates leadership that is authentic, reflective, innovative, collaborative, and not afraid to take some risks in their experimentation and commercialization processes. Leaders and organizations must continually improve to just survive now. They need help in transforming themselves and their organizations to new operating models to innovate and continually improve. At Innovative Leadership Institute, we show them how to do that.
