Tell us about your company’s mission and values.
Our mission is to be the leading unique third party logistics provider.

Our company values are: Respect, Honesty, Integrity, Gratitude, and Commitment.

What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?
Looking forward to networking with Local Businesses

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?
We stay up to date with what is going on in global news as this directly affects our industry, such as changing international sanctions and embargos as well as watching oil prices.  On a local level we attend several round tables and tradeshows.

What is your company culture like?
We aim to create an atmosphere where our employees are excited to come to work; it’s a fun environment with a get it done attitude.

What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?
In order for our employees to be successful at our company, they must maintain values true to our company values, while maintaining the get it done attitude. An example of this, recently we had a client call in on a Friday evening (around 8pm) with an expedite need in which freight needed to get from northern Ohio to northern Mexico by Monday afternoon.  Within an hour we had a dedicated aircraft lined up and our truck was in route to the client’s location.  By Sunday the client’s freight was in Mexico waiting for pickup Monday morning by our SEKO Mexico counterpart to deliver to the consignee.  Even when it is outside our normal office hours the team members here are committed to our company’s core values and deliver exceptional service to continually earn our client’s business.

What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?
From a logistical standpoint, any major U.S. metro market can be serviced out of Columbus. More corporations are bringing their distribution centers to Columbus, which is exciting for the local economy.

What pieces of advice have you found to be the most helpful since starting your career?
Find a way to bring value beyond what you’re paid to do as that is expected.

How do you achieve a work/life balance?
Our business operates 24/7; it is extremely important that we maintain a work/life balance. I start my day with a workout to clear my head and to mentally prepare for the day. I make sure I spend time with my family in the evenings.

Where is your favorite place to have a meeting outside the office?
(Insert nearest bar name here)

All joking aside, it is the quality of the company attending the meeting and not so much the location that makes it memorable.
