COLUMBUS, OH, Aug. 13, 2018 – Every retail experience is personal and local.
Retail Summit 2018: Creating the New Localism, presented by Big Lots, the Columbus Chamber of Commerce and Franklin County, will explore the journey: the food we eat and the clothes we wear; how they come to us; the people that make them; and the sights, sounds, tastes and touches that inspire our action and devotion.
The annual event will bring together hundreds of the retail industry’s thought leaders for a full day of trends, insights and networking on Aug. 23 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
As the only conference in the Midwest dedicated exclusively to retail and the sectors that support it, Retail Summit will feature remarks and presentations from industry experts working at the local, regional and national levels.
In addition to open forums and dedicated programming tracks in design, eCommerce and logistics, the event will also debut findings from this year’s Retail Report, published jointly by the Franklin County Board of Commissioners and the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, which provides unique insights on the state of the retail marketplace in Central Ohio.
“The Columbus Region is a national hub – not only for retail and supporting industries, but for disruption and innovative thinking,” said Don DePerro, president and CEO of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce.
“Retail Summit is a powerful illustration of the area’s legacy and status as a home for the industry’s creativity and energy.”
