Early spring is when tree pests become active and signs of disease more evident. Apple scab is one issue that will be commonplace in our area this year. Impacting many varieties of apple and crabapple trees, the appearance of smoky or smudgy spots on leaves is the first sign of the disease. As infection continues, leaves and fruit will become deformed and flowering is reduced.
Bartlett Tree Experts offers a highly successful treatment program to control apple scab and keep leaves, flowers, and fruit healthy. Taking action at bud break, before symptoms become apparent, will provide the most effective control.
