Provide us with a brief summary of your business’ services.
Stratosphere Aviation is a Global Supplier of Aircraft Spare Parts. We hold pride in our Multi-Lingual and Multi-Cultural workforce that allows us to cater to clients from various regions of the world. With OEM distributorships, Consigned repair facilities and advance purchase of aircraft tear-downs we are able to provide aviation spares at a very competitive rate. Additionally, we provide aviation consultancy, purchasing outsource management, logistics support along with heavy rotables financing solutions.

Tell us about your company’s mission and values.
Mission for Stratosphere is to provide a world-class customer service to our clients in the most efficient and professional method. We value quality and guarantee every export with the highest standard in the industry.

What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?
We look forward to using the chamber for exposure of our business, network with policy makers and local businesses and take advantage of resources allocated to Small Businesses.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?
Aviation is a fast-paced Industry that is constantly revolving. By attending conferences and trade-shows, talking to buyers on their needs, keeping up with the aviation news on the new products and services that are being launched and conducting continuous market research we are able to stay engaged with the trends.

What is your company culture like?
We believe in a fun and friendly culture. One can only be innovative if they are allowed to think on their own. We provide the space to think and execute, while adhering professionalism at the highest level. We treat our employees like partners and not employees.

What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?
Since this is a start-up company our employees need to take part in every departments to be successful. Starting from operations, purchasing, logistics to finance. They need to be self-motivated, team player, creative, hold strong personality and willingness to learn and adapt to changes.

What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?
Columbus is going through a major phase of transition which we want to contribute to. Opportunities are endless in this city. The support from people and the community is phenomenal. There are number of agencies, consultants and federal resources that are available to guide export oriented business-like Stratosphere to achieve growth and maintain sustainability. Geographically it is also located in a catchment area, with driving distances from major airport such as ORD, JFK, IAD and PHL allowing us to deliver our shipments to our customers faster. In future, Rickenbacker can be a great tool for us as well, as it is already operating cargo from areas of our high concentrated clients such as Hong Kong and Dubai.

What pieces of advice have you found to be the most helpful since starting your career?
Travel and see the world- “Travel the world. See another place. Discover a different point of view. Traveling is the antidote to ignorance.” This will help understand different cultures and people

Network- You never know who you run into and what they can do for you

Be patient- Believe in the power of positivity, celebrate success while learning from the loss. When things are not going right, do not give up as every successful business have walked our paths.

How do you achieve a work/life balance?
Being a young entrepreneur we cannot afford to keep our work/life separated as it automatically filters into our day to day personal lives. We are continuously working, especially since our clients are overseas and the difference in timing keeps us up time to time. However, being aviation enthusiasts we do not mind the work rather it is more enjoyable.

Where is your favorite place to have a meeting outside the office?
Favorite place to have meeting outside of the office would be Cafes or restaurants.
