Tell us about your company’s mission and values.
G2G Consulting was founded in 2007 to help businesses and non-profits grow by providing strategic government affairs, economic development and public relations consulting – all the services necessary to take enterprises from Government to Growth (G2G).
What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?
Networking with Columbus community leaders; learning more about the entrepreneurial and growing businesses in Columbus in biosciences and high-tech innovation; and developing more connections with human service non-profit organizations in Columbus.
We subscribe to legislative tracking services, Crains and bioscience industry publications and are regularly in the Statehouse and U.S. Capitol talking to public officials to monitor what is happening and to pro-actively engage our clients.
What do you think differentiates you from your competitors?
We are a bipartisan team based in DC, Cleveland and Columbus able to manage government engagement in all three locations simultaneously. We work smarter, faster and harder by 1) assessing what your needs are and developing a Strategic Roadmap of who we will target in government and what we can achieve with each one, 2) creating a Timeline of what to expect when as we execute the Strategic Roadmap, 3) writing tailored White Papers for each target, and 4) organizing in-person meetings with these targets to position your enterprise, develop relationships, present capabilities, and make the request for funding, revised regulations and/or new policy. We provide strategic counsel, access to our contacts, meetings with decision-makers, intel on funding and agency priorities, advocacy campaign management, and pro-active engagement that includes a constant presence in DC, Cleveland and Columbus.
We are high-energy, driven, results-oriented and relentless. We love what we do and think government can make a difference for companies and non-profits as long as you use the right strategy, timing, messaging and follow-through.
What advice would you have appreciated hearing when first starting your career?
I have worked for government and in government relations for 20+ years and can’t think of anything that would have steered me differently had I heard it when I started. I am passionate about my work and know I can help companies grow and non-profits advance their causes through effective government engagement. I want to help as many as I can and make the world a better place.
