Newsmakers Q&A: Logistics moves up on list of area job creators

Every job fair is designed to connect employers with talented, confident applicants — potential hires who, ideally, know where they want to go and, just as important, how to get there.
That was especially true last month when 40 companies converged on Columbus State Community College for a recruitment event devoted entirely to logistics — an industry that hinges, as one participant put it, on “moving product from Point A to Point B as fast and as efficiently as possible.”
“It’s obvious that the logistics industry is a major driver in the Columbus-region economy, and all evidence suggests that it will keep up the positive momentum in 2012 and beyond,” said Columbus Chamber President and CEO Michael Dalby. Read more.
