  Columbus jumps on list of best performing economies

  The California-based Milken Institute ranked Columbus No. 55 on a list of 200 cities in the U.S. for best performing economies, a major jump from its No. 108 ranking in 2010. The study measured where jobs are created and maintained, where compensation is increasing and what sectors of the economy are growing. Columbus improved in all but one of the measured categories. The city's strongest showing was in the one-year and five-year technology sector output. Columbus was the highest-rated city in Ohio. Read more
