
As president and CEO of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, Ty Marsh guides the organization in pursuit of its mission of leading and supporting economic growth and development for Greater Columbus. The organization is focused on helping local companies expand, attracting new companies to the region, and helping entrepreneurs succeed.
This is Marsh's second tenure at the Chamber. From 1991 to 1999, Marsh served as Executive Vice President of Policy and Strategy and Senior Vice President of Government Relations. Between working at the Chamber, Marsh served as Chief of Staff to Columbus Mayor Michael B. Coleman. In this position, Marsh was responsible for advancing the Mayor's agenda, serving as the Mayor's senior advisor, and providing leadership to the Mayor's Cabinet and staff. Marsh also served as Chief of Staff to former Ohio House Speaker Vern Riffe and served as Subcommittee Staff Director in U. S. Congress.
Marsh is chair of the 21st Century Transportation Task Force for the State of Ohio, chair of the board of trustees for The RiverSouth Development Authority, chair of the Jobs & Technology Focus Area of Mayor Coleman’s 2012 Bicentennial Commission, serves on the board of the Ohio Business Development Coalition, and is an Honorary Trustee of the Columbus Council on World Affairs. His volunteer service includes: Committee to Study the Merger of Port Columbus and Rickenbacker Airports (2002) and North Market Development Authority (1994-1998).
Marsh is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University with dual bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Economics. He and his wife, Laurie, reside in the Old Beechwold area of Columbus.
