
Susan Merryman is vice president, marketing and communication for the Columbus Chamber of Commerce. Merryman's work has earned a Silver Anvil, the highest honor in the public relations profession, and additional district, local and Chamber association awards.
Merryman has experience in agency, corporate and government environments with expertise that includes media relations, employee communications, public affairs and strategic planning.
Merryman earned a B.A. in public relations from Otterbein College and an MBA from the University of Dayton. She is accredited in public relations (APR) and served as a member of the Central Ohio PRSA Board of Directors since 1999, holding positions as president and treasurer. Merryman is a professional advisor for the Otterbein College Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSA) and an adjunct professor in Otterbein's Communications Department. She was recognized as the 2004 PRSA Tom Poling Central Ohio Practitioner of the Year and one of Central Ohio’s “Forty under 40” business leaders. Merryman is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Columbus.
