
As vice president of economic development, Matt McCollister leads and directs initiatives to attract new businesses to the area and retain existing business.
McCollister facilitates collaboration among local economic development professionals within the seven county region and has launched Web-based tools that foster continued communication and sharing of information. During his time with the Chamber, he has developed domestic and international recruitment programs and has represented Columbus and Ohio at international business development programs in Japan and China. McCollister has been with the Columbus Chamber since 2003.
Before joining the Chamber, McCollister was the business development manager for the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce where he focused on business growth in the area.
McCollister earned a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and English from the University of South Carolina and graduated from the University of Oklahoma, College of Continuing Education, Economic Development Institute.
